NOTICE
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Precaution - If battery power drops below a certain level, the quality of the tone produced deteriorates, a totally different tone may sound, or the demo tune or auto rhythm may become abnormal. Should any of these symptoms occur, replace batteries as soon as possible.
When you operate your keyboard, refer to the numbers in the illustration. Please keep all information for future reference.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Load new batteries taking care that the plus (+) and minus (-) poles are facing in the correct directions.
- Replace the battery compartment cover.
Battery Precautions
Incorrectly using batteries can cause them to burst or leak, possibly damaging the interior of the unit. Note that following precautions:
- Be sure that the plus (+) and minus (-) poles of each battery are facing in the proper direction.
- Never mix batteries of different types.
- Never mix old batteries and new ones.
- Never leave dead batteries in battery compartment.
- Remove batteries if you do not plan to use the unit for long periods.
- Replace batteries at least once every 2 years, no matter how much the unit is used during that period.
- Never try to recharge the batteries that are specified for the power supply of this unit.
- Do not expose the batteries to direct heat, let them become shorted, or try to take them apart.
- Should a battery leak, clean out the battery compartment of the unit immediately, taking care to avoid letting the battery fluid come into direct contact with your skin.

Playing the Keyboard
- Slide the POWER/VOL. switch (1) to LOW or HIGH position.
- Select a tone (see "Using preset tones").
- Play the keyboard, and select the volume by sliding the POWER/VOL switch (1) to HIGH or LOW.
Playing the Demonstrations Tune
Simply press DEMO button (5) and listen to the keyboard play. The demonstration tune plays continuously. Press DEMO button (5) again or PATTERN Stop button (3) to stop the tune. Note that you cannot play the keyboard while the demonstration tune is playing.
Using Preset Tones
You can choose from 16 preset tones. The name of each tone and its corresponding two-digit number is printed on the keyboard's top panel (6). To select a tone, enter the two-digit number using the TONE buttons (4).

Using Patterns
Your keyboard has 19 preprogrammed rhythms patterns and 13 accompaniment patterns that provide a steady beat for your music (see the list (9) printed on the keyboard).
- Press PATTERN SELECT button (2).
- Press one of the keyboard keys. When you press the white keyboard (7),the rhythm pattern starts to play. Or you press the black keyboard (8), the accompaniment pattern starts to play.
- Press PATTERN Stop button (3) to stop the pattern, or press PATTERN SELECT button (2) and another key board key to change the rhythm or accompaniment pattern.
