Vince Got Married

Vince is entering the lift to go to the top 2 years after they last met

Penny is waiting for Vince looking at postcards she too is unsure talking to her self

As the 2 assemble in close proximity to each other Penny tells how the meeting was arranged with direct contact. She contents herself by the fact he might have changed

She is taken back when she glimpses someone fitting her description but as he turns it is apparent it is not Vince

Penny starts talking to an arm similar to Vince's which turns out to belong to Bernard Causewell from Tulsa Oklahoma. She explains how she lives here and he asks her to show him the sights

As she leaves out of one side Vince walks in on the other Bernard is ecstatic

Vince spies Penny as she enters the lift he chases after her

VINCE
"I almost missed you"

Vince goes to kiss her but she only allows a cheek she is fuming about the lateness

Vince apologies but she is not satisfied

Vince tries to shrug it off

They decide to like it rest

Vince looks all furtive he stands next to Penny and pinches her - she yelps and the whole lift occupants turn round0

Exterior - Day - Paris sightseeing

They pass Notre Dame and Penny expects a deluge of Hunchback jokes

Vince spots the gargoyles

It turns out Norman has gone for promotion at his wine importing firm and to get abreast of the new technology went to a technology fair at earls court and he persuaded the chairman to buy a vast machine to save the company money

They pull up at Penny's flat

Exterior - Day - High street

Norm is driving and parks the Volvo by the street Daphne is looking apprehensive.

He is visiting the DHSS (Department Of Health sand Social security.)

Daphne is trying to maintain her social standing about not being seen dead near the place but Norman is more all right with it.

Any rational viewpoints are ignored

Daphne goes off to feed the meter and shopping as Penny is back on Monday. She sounds almost supportive

As Daphne realises she has no change for the meter Rita drives by in a haze of loud rock and roll music in a convertible.

Daphne puts a head scarf on for a disguise and hurries off. Rita parks and finds money left in the meter

She spots an innocent group of lads some way from the car

She spots Daphne in the distance and shrieks after her but Daphne keeps walking on regardless

Interior - Day - Penny's French flat

Penny and Vince arrive he likes her flat and volunteers

Vince ferrets around the flat having all the rooms explained - eventually he homes in on his target

Vince prefers beer and Penny gives him one her friends 'Alain' she starts of smug but soon gets back

Vince tries to impress Penny with the improvements he has made from executive Porta-Cabin offices to personal phone lines and answer phones. She just flicks his business card away

Penny takes offence and explains in long winded French what she does

Vince laughs at this progress from secretary to assistant

Penny gets upset but Vince makes it up and she smile she goes to take a shower and looks at her as if inviting her

Interior - Day - Cafe

Daphne is drinking and smoking when Rita enters

She shrieks about their age and general other embarrassing things. She explains that with Les's semi retirement they spend half the year abroad.

She feels sadness that Penny and Vince never got together

She is about to talk about Vince when she spots Norm coming out of the 'Father feed them all' so Daphne scurries off

Interior - Night - Penny's flat

Penny and Vince come back laugh after a fine meal. They kiss affectionately then passionately but Penny recovers in time. She disappears. Vince is overconfident he has seduced her. She returns with Vince's bags chucking him out to a hotel. Vince claims its raining

Vince swigs a brandy before leaving. Penny is pleased she has resisted. A short time later she relents.

Interior - Night - Penny's landing

Penny desperately calls after him he has not even got into the lift she offers lodgings

Interior - Night - Penny's flat

A few restless hours pass on the sofa

Vince joins penny in bed

They get jiggy with it

Interior - Day - Warrender's house

Penny arrives back from Paris and make a few faux-pas with the 'we' but she gets out of it

She has bought a bottle of whisky for her father and perfume for her mother who is disgruntled she didn't get any cigarette.

Norman enter but his bottle is confiscated

Penny insists on celebrating now

Penny tells her mother off and suggests she more understanding towards Norman

When the coast is clear she rings Vince using the business card she;'d thrown away

She gets his personal answering machine

She leaves a very happy message about their few days in Paris

She is staying in the London office for a few days so asks to meet Vince again

credits roll as the dinner table is laid out

Penny picks up the glasses the Pinner's had given them and Norman talks about Daphne's meeting with Rita

Daphne tells how Rita kept going on about Vince's adventure
