Tom (Sitcom veteran Briers) resigns from his job a designer of plastic animals with his wife Barabara's (Nose wrinkling Kendal) support for a life of self sufficiency in Surbiton.
Jerry his ex-boss and neighbour is amused whilst his wife Margo (Trademark Keith) is not.
Middle class values dress this sitcom eloquently with fashions - interior decorating and attitudes worthy of historical documentation.
